THE ENERGY + PASSION
We take pride in our muddy boots and frayed jackets. We care about the land and spend our days getting down and dirty to protect and restore it.
Crawford Land Management has been completing ecological restoration and shoreline stabilization projects for nearly a decade and our experience has covered a range of project scopes and scales. We’ve restored salt marshes, protected coastal banks, created specialized habitat for endangered species, and so much more. We’ve gotten a number of these projects under our belt and feel confident that we’ve learned what makes a project work, but we always love taking new approaches and expanding our ecological horizon.
We have an awesome team of intelligent, passionate and all-around fun individuals who love doing this work and are dedicated to taking project goals from a concept to a reality.
Sound like the kind of people you want to work with?

CO-FOUNDERS
Lauren Taylor has been with CLM since 2021 as a landscape/restoration designer. She helps design and permit ecological restoration projects and often gets involved on the implementation end of things, going in the field to assess project development, help implement projects, and watch plans come to life. She’s a tree hugger through and through (and would hug salt marshes too if she could). Lauren volunteers with the Barnstable Land Trust as a Land Steward helping with invasive plant management and pile burns. This spring (2024), Lauren is looking forward to starting as a Baywatcher with the Buzzards Bay Coalition collecting water quality monitoring data, as well as volunteering with the Barnstable Clean Water Coalition helping with monitoring, sampling and maintenance operations.
Gretchen has been with CLM since 2018 as our Operations Support Administrator. She focuses on scheduling crews, purchasing materials, preparing job packets and making sure we comply with any necessary regulations; essentially she makes sure all our ducks are in a row while we’re working on a job!
Angela Tanner assists in designing and permitting residential and commercial projects that balance the outdoor living experience with each site’s ecological potential. Angela holds a Master in Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, a Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University, and is a licensed landscape architect in the state of Rhode Island. Angela serves on the Board of Directors for the Ecological Landscape Alliance (ELA), a nonprofit organization that educates, inspires, and empowers people to value biodiverse landscapes and employ ecological practices. Her experience in the architectural design world and her genuine excitement for native plants and wildlife make her a unique asset to our team.
