WHY CLM?
Crawford Land Management has experience restoring a diversity of ecosystems and plant communities, including freshwater wetlands, salt marshes, upland forests, grasslands and meadows. While our experience working in these landscapes covers a range of scales, every project is approached through an ecosystem-scale lens.
Our expertise in ecological restoration projects includes invasive species management, native plant community establishment, soil stabilization, irrigation, and corrective pruning among other project-specific services.
We work alongside marine engineers, wetland scientists and other environmental professionals to implement soft shoreline stabilization solutions, create living shorelines, and complete beach nourishment and dune restoration work.
Our experience completing shoreline stabilization projects includes the installation of fiber rolls, coir envelopes, geobags and other biodegradable stabilization materials as well as construction of sand drift fencing. Many of our projects utilize these solutions and take it a step further by adding nourishment to beaches and dunes or including site-adapted vegetation to create living shorelines.

A restoration project is only as successful as the ongoing monitoring and maintenance that is invested into it. Crawford Land Management is experienced in every stage of a restoration project and knows what it takes to ensure a project’s success.
We have extensive experience in monitoring project establishment, completing long-term maintenance in the field and reporting on project progress to regulatory agencies. We are also able to aid in the early stages of a project by completing site inventory and evaluation to advise on the best course of action.
We work alongside marine engineers to implement bio-engineering stabilization projects, restore salt marsh, install coir and sand-filled envelopes, and construct sturdy drift fence.
