Women have been making significant strides in male-dominated industries, including ecological restoration, and Crawford Land Management is contributing by setting an example for women in the industry. As a certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE), we are loud and proud about supporting and empowering women both inside Crawford Land Management and within the industry as a whole.
Becoming WBE certified
We are incredibly proud to be officially recognized as WBE certified! The WBE certification was achieved by meeting a selective list of criteria relating to things like ownership and leadership that set us apart from other companies.
For us at Crawford Land Management, the WBE certification is a testament to the strong, ambitious team of women that we’ve developed and continue to grow and support. Many of our key leadership positions, like Chief Executive Officer/co-founder and Chief Operations Officer are filled by headstrong ladies. In addition, many of our design and administrative positions- landscape architect, restoration designer, operations support administrator, assistant account manager, executive assistant- are all taken up by a strong team of women that consistently bring new ideas to the table and keep operations running smoothly.
The Importance of Women in Ecological Restoration
Ecological restoration is an increasingly important field that requires a diverse workforce to bring new ideas and perspectives to the table, and the women on Team CLM certainly bring a unique set of knowledge and skills to the company. It’s important we act a s a leader in the field and continue to support women in ecological restoration to share their perspectives, advocate for their beliefs, take advantage of their strengths, and make advances in the field. The WBE certification gives Team CLM a better opportunity to pursue new, challenging projects and secure grant funding that will only improve our capacity to act as an experienced leader in the field of ecological restoration.
